3D Model for Travel Van

Designing the interior of a travel van. Alternative layouts, amount of materials required, and ideation before purchasing.

Modeling the interior lets me play with different layout ideas before purchasing materials I may not need, taking the guesswork out of amounts to buy. From the model I calculated the board-feet needed, joist fasteners, drawers, and other hardware.

Having an accurate 3D model also lets me check that other object will fit - fridge, batteries, water tank, etc - before buying them, only to find they don’t fit. Making a model does take time upfront, but it saves time in the long run. Less headaches, returns, and extra materials.
